Before we quote, an engineer reads the drawing

Most problems on a fabrication project start as an unanswered question on the drawing. We look for them before the price is set, so they are settled on paper rather than discovered in the workshop or at your site.

What we check

• Material. Whether the specified grade and sizes are available in China, and the equivalent grade if a substitution is needed. Any substitution is proposed to you in writing, never made silently.
• Connections and welds. Weld access, weld symbols that are missing or unclear, and bolt holes that do not align between drawings.
• Tolerances. Tolerances that are tighter than the function needs and drive cost, or missing where they matter.
• Fabrication sequence. Distortion risk, machining that must follow welding, and parts that need a trial assembly.
• Shipping. Pieces that will not fit a container, and where to split them so site assembly stays simple.

With the quotation, a short list of questions and suggestions, each linked to the drawing reference it concerns. You decide what to change; we quote what you confirm.
