Material Supply & Traceability

Steel and aluminum supplied as part of the projects we deliver: invoiced on weighed weight, with mill certificates for the material actually shipped.

We supply steel and aluminum as part of a fabrication or structure project we deliver. We do not quote stand-alone commodity material. If you only need material, a specialised trader will usually serve you better, and we will tell you so.

Three rules on every material line

RuleWhat it means for you
Actual-weight invoicingMaterial is weighed and invoiced on measured weight. We do not invoice on theoretical weight.
Genuine mill certificatesThe mill test certificate (MTC) belongs to the material we actually ship, so grade and heat can be traced.
No under-gauge materialWe do not supply material thinner than ordered while charging for the nominal size.

Why our material line can look higher than another quote

A common practice in commodity steel is to buy material at the thin end of its tolerance, or below it, and invoice it at theoretical weight for the nominal size. The price per ton looks lower; the buyer pays for steel that was never delivered, and the structure carries less steel than the design assumed.

We price the material you will actually receive. When you compare quotations, ask each supplier two questions: is the invoice based on weighed or theoretical weight, and does the certificate belong to the shipped material?
